ABOUT
Hello! I am Matty Lanouette, a content designer based in the Seattle area.

I entered the games industry after graduating from DigiPen with a Bachelor of Art in Game Design (BAGD) in 2018. Since then, I have worked at Hardsuit Labs as a content designer on Vampire the Masqurade: Bloodlines 2 and most recently at Monolith Productions as a systems designer on Wonder Woman, primaraly working on the Nemesis System.

My specialty is content design. Crafting engaging and rewarding experiences for the player through missions, narrative, and interconnected systems is always my goal and priority. My passion for content design comes from a life-long love of video games and my drive to include more diverse perspectives and lived-experiences in games.

I have worked professionally in Unreal 4 and Firebird (Monolith's proprietry engine). While working in Unreal, I spent most of my time focused on gameplay scripting and quest implementation using Blueprint. In Firebird, I worked within the engine's database to maintain and update the Nemesis System and to revamp the prodecural character generation system.

In my free time I like to work on personal projects that are often narrative-focused. Exploring new settings, character voices, and designing interesting gameplay interactions are some of my main, and favorite, focuses in my personal projects.
